Public Organization “The Centre of Information-Communication Technologies” ( The Centre of ICT) has been developing human resources in Information Technologies (IT). Through its programs The Centre of ICT is engaged in information and educational work. It works with universities, government institutions, commercial and non-commercial organization.
From 2006 the Centre realized big amount of projects, related to youth, universities and civil society development. The Centre of ICT activity implements in borders of three strategic programs.
1.Program, destinate on capacity building of teachers, young specialists and youth of Tajikistan universities in modern IT usability.
1.Project «Linux Centre»(2006-2008). Financing: Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation–Tajikistan (OSI AF-Tajikistan)
Youth familiarity with modern Information Technologies and Free&Open Source Software is increased through open trainings in Tajik universities. Students and teachers participated in trainings about Linux OS and different free&open source software. In collaboration of teaching stuff Free&Open Source Software is included to educational programs of few universities.
2.Annual projects about realization of “Digital youth” forums. From 2007 up to 2012.
More than 600 people are participated in republican and central-asian levels of “Digital youth” forums in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2011 yy, where they were informed about youth achievements in up-to-date IT. More than 200 projects were presented by young specialists.

3. Project “Youth interuniversity network of ICT clubs” (2009-2010). Financing: OSI AF-Tajikistan (Information Program), World bank. Nine ICT clubs are created in Tajik universities, for increasing qualification of teachers, young specialists and students in IT. Common information portal is created for good Tajik universities collaboration http://centreict.net/ictclubs.tj/.

6. Project “Establishment of Linux Professional School and Open Technologies” – (2014) – It is organized with the financial support of OSI AF-Tajikistan. In realization of this project LTD “TAKOM” also gave support, as free delivered server equipment for School, to train workshops.
